First South African in history to participated in the International Egyptian Festival competition Ahwa Wha Saghlan Festival. Beautiful sensual, graceful dancer. Started of as a performer in my country. Danced for several years at the one and only Kurdish Restaurants in Cape Town, Mesopotamia and Ararat and occassionally at Turkish Restaurant Anatoli. Surika is a intuitive dancer and never had formal training until she participated in the Egyptian competition. She was flown in to Mauritius to dance for the opening of an Egyptian bussiness. I train students of belly dance to perform. My vision for women is to practice healing arts through selfcare and dance. My life coach said "Surika this is powerful because women will carry this over to their daughters and to the new generation".
